Prior to December 2010, the Latah County Library District Foundation endowment grew largely as a result of bequests and capital appreciation. In December 2010 the Foundation made its first mail-based county-wide appeal for support for the endowment. Businesses throughout the country were encouraged to show their support for library services by donating to the Foundation. The results of this first appeal for funds was very encouraging.
